I walk through Parc d’Egmont every day on my way to work. Rain or shine, it is always a pleasure to pass through this tiny park – a tiny oasis steps away from the ugly Ring Road which is part of the unfortunate Brusselization phenomenon.
A few days ago, as always, I entered the park from Rue du Grand Cerf. I looked up and was struck by the beauty of the tree that was towering over me.
Funny that I didn’t notice it before.
“There is nothing like looking, if you want to find something. You certainly usually find something, if you look, but it is not always quite the something you were after.” ― J.R.R. Tolkien, The Hobbit
I walk through another parc on my way to work every day… it’s true, there are days I suddenly notice something which was there all along… it never fails to make me feel better, this daily walk.
Yup, absolutely! I’m surprised not more people seem to pass through this park – granted that it is a very small one 🙂
