Jamaa el Fna, Marrakech

July 2010: Djemaa el Fna, Marrakech

When I think of Marrakech, the following adjectives come to mind: heady, intoxicating and eclectic.

I also remember it being rather chaotic, especially the traffic in the city centre and the crowd in the souks; yet you can easily find a tranquil spot in the city – be it the courtyard in a riad, the beautiful Jardin Marjorelle or the solemn Saadian Tombs.

There’s so much to say and write about it. But I must go to sleep now… and maybe my dreams will bring me back to the magical, dusty streets of Marrakech tonight.
